Frequently asked questions
How do I get access to Nexus?
Accounts are provisioned by your agency. If you don’t have credentials, contact your agency’s Nexus administrator — they can create your account and assign your unit and permissions. SamNinety does not issue individual accounts directly.
I forgot my password or can’t sign in.
Use the password-reset option on the sign-in screen if your agency has it enabled, or ask your agency administrator to reset it. If sign-in still fails after a correct reset, email us with your agency name and the email on your account — never include your password.
Which devices are supported?
The Nexus CAD app runs on iPhone and iPad (iOS and iPadOS 15 or later). Nexus PSS is also available as a desktop and web application for dispatch workstations. A network connection is recommended; core field tasks also work offline.
Does Nexus work without a signal?
Yes. In the field you can view your assigned calls, write citations, and capture signatures offline. Drafts and updates sync automatically once your device is back in coverage.
How do notifications work?
With notifications enabled, you’ll receive alerts for new dispatches and messages. Manage them inside the app under Settings, and on your device under Settings › Notifications › Nexus.
How do I report a problem or request a feature?
Email support@samninety.com with your agency name, device model, iOS version, and a description of what happened. Screenshots help. We read every message.
Is my data secure?
Traffic is encrypted in transit and data is encrypted at rest. Access is scoped per agency and per user, and the platform is built with public-safety (CJIS-aware) requirements in mind. See our Security & compliance page for details.
System requirements
- Devices: iPhone and iPad running iOS / iPadOS 15 or later.

Your data & privacy
Nexus collects only what’s needed to run dispatch operations: your account profile, your unit assignment and status, the incident and citation records you create, and — while you’re on duty with location sharing enabled — your device location, which is reported to your dispatch center. This information is used to deliver dispatch services for your agency and is not sold. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
